The Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) have recently revealed that cutbacks in local government spending has led to fewer people being able to use the service.
"We are having to cut back on advisers and this means we are cutting back on the number we can see as we operate at pretty much full capacity all the time," explained Mike Dixon, the assistant chief executive of CAB, before saying that this was just the beginning and that much worse was to come.
The CAB is expecting further cuts when the short-term replacement for the government's Financial Inclusion Fund comes to an end.
CAB chief executive Gillian Guy said: "Just when people need us most, many bureaux have had their own funding slashed and have been forced to cut back their frontline services to the public as a result."
